Catherine Borck received her B.A. in Literature and Social Thought from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta (1999), and is finishing her Ph.D. in Political Science at the University of Notre Dame, with a concentration in political theory (expected May 2009).

Her research interests are in classical political thought and politics and literature. She is currently writing her dissertation on friendship in the Platonic dialogues.
At Furman, she is teaching Introduction to Political Thought, Exploring Politics through Literature, and Classical Political thought.
